I was fortunate enough to be able to check out the Kaws exhibit at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta last weekend. To learn more about KAWS, feel free to take a read here.
His sitting companion greets you in the plaza upon arrival to the museum.
The exhibit spanned 3 rooms on the top floor of the museum as well as a large painting in the lobby area inside the entrance.
I just really enjoy the vibrant colors that were throughout each of his paintings.
He then had a life sized take of his michelin man figure in reflective black.
They then had a smaller room with many of his famous prints in there as well as some of his limited vinyl figures.

You see it from the street and it is very impressive. It was rather busy out there and I didn’t get as many clean shots as I would have liked but if you check out flickr, there are tons of great shots of it.

BEAUTIFUL! but how did you get away with photographing? they were a bunch of knobs about signing releases when I was there 2 years ago. and we weren’t even asking to photograph special exhibits.

I had to sign the waiver to take my camera in but surprisingly, they allowed my camera into this exhibit. I was not allowed to take photos (with my DSLR) of the Picasso to Warhol or the Art of Golf exhibits they had going. I went for KAWS and was glad they let me capture it.

Not quite sure what copyright issues there would be. The museum allowed the photographs to be taken. I am not reprinting/reselling but sharing the work of the original artist and at no time claiming it as my own.
I would think artists (not the uptight pretentious ones) would want their work to be shown and spread. /2cents

I am not being in anyway negative in writing this. I can see the reason for you marking your work with the word…”Brick” in very large letters in the corner of your photo work. It is an effective way to save guard the copyring of your work. My suggestion since the size of the marking is so great, is to make your mark a little more classey and less intrustive to your work.
