As I alluded to in the previous post, Lucy got off of work so we headed down to Myrtle Beach for the day. We hit up the outlets, the Coastal Grand Mall, and Ripley’s Aquarium in Broadway at the Beach. It was a great day and I tried to capture the aquarium as best as possible. It is hard to get things right without flash and low light.

Aquarium

There is one huge tank with several different kinds of sharks, turtles, and fish. There is a tunnel that takes you under the tank which allows all of the goodness to swim all around you. It really made me want to jump right in!

Rainbow Rock was a Caribbean reef with many tropical colorful fish.

This aquarium had a special room where they helped incubate and raise the babies that will ultimately fill their tanks at a later time. This makes me want to get a tank.

The standard sea horse and Mr. Leafy seahorse.

Leafy Horse

There was an octopus just hanging around. Spooky.
Lurking

These were probably the best to photography because they moved slow, were black lit for that cool glow effect, and had that deep blue background.

Jason, the chainsaw shark.
Chain Saw

We saw a moray eel while snorkling at the reef in Grand Cayman, just off from Stingray City. These were a little creepier looking, but they are all pretty nasty. I captured him with our underwater digi….can you spot him?

Lucy couldn’t get enough of the edible poo paper. OK, maybe you shouldn’t eat it.
