Homegrown Air

I never really anticipated getting a pair of these in my size due to their rarity and high price. I was fortunate enough to stumble across a pair and was able to obtain them for a fair price. Some background:

They were made to especially accompany the release of a Dutch online music magazine called Homegrown/State Magazine compilation CD. This magazine features up and coming Dutch Hip Hop artists whose culture adores the Air Max 90 sneaker. These limited kicks were a Holland release only just like the Amsterdam AM 1s. They are made from premium leather with a leaf pattern on the mudguard and also they have gum bottoms to compliment the shoe.

The Dutch Hip Hop community embraced the Nike Air Max 90 when it was re-issued in 2001 and made it what it is today on the streets of Holland. The Air Max 90 Premium is a tribute to the Dutch HipHop scene. Nike took inspiration from Dutch Hip Hop icons like Kees de Koning (Top Notch), rappers Winne, Nina and Sef plus Gee, 1 of the owners of sneakerstore Patta (one of the best sneaker shops in Europe).
