I was out in my yard, grilling some hot dogs for dinner, when I saw a poster that I had hanging in my room at home throughout my entire childhood.

fan-demonium 2

I was naturally a big Bills fan growing up in Buffalo. My parents had season tickets every year and I would get to attend a handful of games throughout the bitter Buffalo winter when my Mom was more interested in staying warm than watching football.

November 20, 1988 was a special day for Buffalo. They ended up beating the NY Jets 9-6 in OT (yawn), moving to 11-1 on the season and clinching the AFC East title. Fans rushed the field from the stands and eventually tore down the goal posts. The Bills would later lose in the AFC Championship game to the Cincinnati Bengals 21-10 (Icky who?). Two years later, the Bills would get into their first Super Bowl and proceed to lose the next 4.

  1. My husband is on that poster- red pants- do you know where I can get a copy of it? Sentimental value, of course. Thx.

  2. My parents told me I was born just as the kick was made. They said I had just come out when the hallway in the hospital erupted in cheers. So this too has sentimental value to me. I’ve searched several places for this poster and I’ve been told they are not being made anymore. I see them in Mighty Taco’s, any idea where I can get a copy as well? Thanks

  3. My dad has this poster and it is all tattered from years of hanging in his office. He was there and remembers the picture being taken. He says that image in his mind is exactly what is on the poster. He just got his office re-done and I would love to frame a new poster for him in his new office. Could anyone tell me where to find this?
